So I've been navigating Google Ads lately, it does my head in but its necessary if you want to be found. There is so much to learn to be an effective and efficient advertiser!
Anyway, you get to see what search terms people are using to find what they want and I discovered that the question "How much does a Celebrant charge" is a very popular one, so Im going to address it.
Who are the Celebrants?
Celebrants are trained professionals. We had to complete a certified course and apply to the Attorney General for registration. We pay an annual fee for the privilege of being a legally registered Celebrant, participate in 5 hours of compulsory professional development each year, pay for public and professional liability insurance, we are affiliated with at least one professional association and we spend lots of money on clothes and shoes!
So, what is the Bride and Groom paying for?
Personally, I value my profession and professionalism, my time and myself. I am proud of the quality of service, attention to detail and the care that I provide my couples and I honour the trust they have in me to deliver a perfect Wedding Ceremony.
You pay for an experienced Celebrant who knows how to deliver a ceremony and keep it flowing.
A Celebrants job is to hear your needs, support your vision and ensure that all the legal requirements are met so you are confident and as relaxed as possible on your Wedding day. Meetings, writing the ceremony, rehearsal, PA system, the pressure to perform on the day - it can be hectic sometimes.
How much does a Celebrant charge?
It varies of course, the same as all other Wedding professionals. My prices are displayed on my website though some enquiries receive adjusted quotes. The main thing to remember is that big or small, long or short, when a Celebrant does their thing, she/he is judged on his/her ability to deliver a heartfelt and professional Ceremony, not how cheap they were.
In this industry, like most others, you get what you pay for.
I love my job and...
Love is all you need.
