When I was living in Tasmania I had the pleasure of Marrying a beautiful couple who lived out in the country near the historical village of Lilydale. They originally lived in different countries and had met online but this did not stop them from pursuing each other fiercely. After much travelling back and forth, they could no longer stand to be apart and a Wedding was announced. Silvia was coming to Australia to marry her sweetheart and I was honoured with the job of making it happen. Letters of support to overseas Consulates and Immigration Australia, translated birth certificates, so much paperwork but it finally came together and a very small and intimate Forest Garden Wedding was planned for the Spring.
The day came soon enough and it was (as always) absolutely perfect weather and the friends who gathered were a fabulous crew. We enjoyed a magical ceremony down by the dam at the bottom of a hillside littered with daffodils. Everyone brought a yummy plate to share and most guests also brought an instrument to play. The little forest glen echoed with music and laughter late into the night and it was a very memorable occasion (especially the long drop toilet-lol!) Unfortunately the adults didn't get the same memo, but all the children dressed perfectly for the occasion. I was surrounded by Superhero's, Fairies, Princesses and the wonder of Spring and of course, a lot of Love. Full glamour or a bush party, as long as there is love, it will be perfect. All you need is love xx
